We will be selling BINGO cards 10 for $10.00 as well as raffle tickets for a grand prize of $100.00. We will also have several "mystery" prize bags (2 or 3) as runner up prizes after the grand prize drawing. The mystery prize bags will have a value of $25.00. There will also be several open auction items that will be won by the highest bidder. Full menu is available. 100% of the money earned from the raffles and Bingo goes to the dogs.

We have a unique opportunity again this year to have our own concession stand at 8 home games. We earn money for the dogs -- a huge help with our heavy vet bills!! It’s a blast, you support the T-Bones club, and you make money for the dogs! What a deal! NEEDED: 4 people per game to man the concession stand. SATURDAY NIGHT DATES: May 20th, June 10th, June 24th, July 8th, July 22nd , July 29th, Aug. 12th and Aug.19th. TIMING: you have to be at the stadium no later than 5:30 pm, to open our stand and be ready to serve by 6:00 when ballpark gates open. Stand closes around 9:00 pm and then we clean up. Plan on being there 4-5 hours from start to finish. DRESS: must wear black or tan pants, can be shorts or Capris. Must have non-slip shoes and a black ball cap (T-Bones or other, worn at all times). He had been chained in a backyard with no shelter or food, was almost dead, blind in one eye, couldn't walk, had one back leg that appeared to need amputation, was starved within a breath of dying, had no fur, and was heartworm positive. But when we got the call it was exactly one week before Christmas, and we were determined to give him a chance. Today - exactly one year later - he's alive and doing well. Come celebrate his incredible journey with us! CAESAR WILL BE THERE! This is a combination of pure celebration, thanks you's to the dozens of people involved in his rehab, and a fundraiser for his ongoing medical care (he's on meds for cancer after completing chemo). Pet Palooza is the finale of their Open Hangar Day (OHD) free family events that they host throughout the summer. Each month features all kinds of pet rescue and educational animals as well as kid’s games, activities, face and hair painting, rides in vintage Jeeps, rides in “Hands on History” aircraft simulators, “build a glider” instruction, self-guided tours of the Museum and hangar full of WWII artifacts, food and drinks. They also invite a variety of local clubs, groups and non-profit organizations to participate and display throughout the events. As part of the OHD series of events, these activities are all free, open to the public and there is no cost to our organization to participate. Pet Palooza is held inside our large open hangar at New Century Airport (south of Olathe, KS) and all “kid/crowd-friendly” adoptable, educational and program animals are welcome to participate. As a participant, you are welcome to display, advertise, sell items, and collect donations for your organization. The CAF guarantees that each donation jar will have money in it by the end of the event. We can supply you with 6 ft. tables and chairs, an ample supply of water, grassy areas nearby, circulating fans and extra volunteers are available to assist you. You and your volunteers will enjoy free lunch, drinks and hopefully, a fun, feel-good day.

Jackson County Parks + Rec is proud to sponsor the 25th Annual DOGTOBER FEST and the Tails for Trails DogWalk from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21st at the Kemper Outdoor Education Center. These events promote responsible dog ownership, celebrate the human/canine bond and provide a venue for shelters and rescue groups to raise funds, place dogs and educate the public. Over 3,000 people (and their dogs) will attend DOGTOBER FEST 2018, making it one of the biggest dog events in the Midwest. Dogs compete in fun matches or attend workshops in Agility, Obedience, Rally, Dock Diving, Frisbee Catching, Canine Adventure Course and Weave Pole Races. Demonstrations feature police dogs, lure coursing, dog carting, therapy dogs, water rescue, and search and rescue. At the Games Area, dog/owner teams compete in Bobbing for Biscuits, Rollover Races and many other contests. Homeless dogs find new families in our Adopt-a-Pet areas. Representatives from breed clubs educate visitors about purebred dogs. Nearly 100 Booths feature trainers, pet supplies, gourmet dog treats, doggy day care, groomers, pet psychics, pet photos and pet sitting services. Door prizes are awarded in hourly drawings. Participants are welcome to bring their friendly, well-mannered dogs to DOGTOBER FEST 2018. Admission is free of charge, but participants are asked to bring canned or dry dog food for a food drive for the Jackson County and Lee’s Summit Animal Shelters and several local rescue groups. Our goal is to raise FIVE TONS of dog food in 2018!
