|
Chevy adores people, and enjoys saying hello to them. She will sometimes bark when strangers enter the house, but she warms up quickly. With continued socialization, training, and strong leadership, that is a behavior that should fade away. She gives kisses freely, and is eager to please her humans. She even loves the human kids in her foster's home, and was fine having extra kids over to her foster's home during the holidays.
She's past the crazy puppy energy stage, and has all the right stuff! She does well with other dogs, can live with cats (she ignores them), and is fine with people. She is house trained and crate trained, and is one smart cookie! She knows several commands: Sit, Shake, Lay Down, and It's Bed Time. She's a dream!
Some things she loves:
Her ball: Chevy loves to run around the yard and chase her ball. She really loves to play hide and seek with it!
Car rides: She LOVES going for rides in the car, and hopes her forever family will take her with them as often as they can.
Giving kisses: What can we say - she loves giving kisses!
Some things she's working on:
Escape artist: She can and will easily jump a 4-foot fence. In her previous homes, she was left outside unattended for long periods of time, so she began jumping the fence in search of new adventures. We strongly recommend her adopter's home have a securely fenced yard, preferably with a 6' fence.
Alpha dogs: Chevy is best with dogs who are more submissive than alpha. She's working hard to get along with all dogs, but she is taking correction and training well.
