PATSY is the free-spirited, all-or-nothing, go-til-you-drop, play-all-out little girl!  She’ll love on you until she drops, too – she’s a loving, energetic go-go girl who will convince you to play til you drop, too.  One look of those adorable eyes begging you to “come ON, let’s PlAY!” and you’re a goner.  Her sheer joy is infectious so who could resist?  She’s the highest energy puppy of the litter and is the most likely to wander off into the woods, though she's perfectly willing to come back when called.  She practically begs you to “love me, love me”.  She’s  a total lover and will be your BFF, no question!

THE PUPPIES' STORY:  Their momma is Marie (last picture) - a sweetheart of a girl who's also absolutely gorgeous!  Tiny and petite for a setter, she was found stray and literally starving, weighing only 31 pounds and pregnant.  A good samaritan took her in and committed to keeping her until she could have the puppies and recover her health.   She’s finally starting to gain some weight and is now 41 lbs.  She’s still super skinny but is on the road to being healthy again!  If any of the puppies are half as gorgeous as mom, you’ll have on stunning dog on your hands.   PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES OF MOMMA MARIE BELOW.

IDEAL FAMILY:        An active family who understands that a puppy is a HUGE responsibility - it's like having another baby in the house!  A family who will put up with puppy behaviors - chewing, nipping, peeing - and lovingly train Patsy out of them, lovingly show him through positive reinforcement and direction what "the rules" are.  

 

PATSY's ADOPTION FEE: $195
This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet, board and rehab the dogs we save. On average we spend over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, your adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot, bordatella shot, deworming, monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and microchip. In many cases it also includes surgery and various types of vet treatment for standard issues such as hot spots, ear infections and so on.
