SHILOH is an adorable young girl who makes you grin just watching her sheer joy in life! She's got spark and spunk, considers everyone a potential playmate and is very good at persuading you to stop and play a while. During a recent snow she slipped right past her foster mom, out the front door, and went prancing down the street jumping and twirling in the glorious white stuff. When her foster mom raced after her, paniced because Shiloh was playing in the street, Shiloh was convinced it was all a grand game and promptly played hide and seek. After chasing Shiloh up and down the block, her foster mom finally yelled at her as loud as she could -- at which poor Shiloh immediately went to ground and hung her head as if to say, "I'msorry, mom! I didn't break any rules of the game, did I?"
At just a year old, Shiloh was abandoned in southern Missouri (a hellhole for animals) and was sent to a small high kill shelter. She was scheduled to be sent to a larger shelter to be killed when we stepped in, unable to bear the thought of yet another young life cut off.
Shiloh is currently in a foster home with older children and a female German Shepherd, and is doing very well. She's crate trained, housebroken and is gradually learning good house manners. She's an energetic youngster who sometimes makes her foster family roll their eyes, but she's so innocent and delightful that she's soon forgiven her puppy ways.
Shiloh is true to her mix of breeds: highly intelligent, strong willed, energetic, and mischievious. She needs an active family with a fenced yard and a family who will love her enough to play with her, train her and guide her.
Just one fortunate family will have this adorable, spunky little girl join their family circle for life. Is that YOU?
DOGS: Yes, would love a play buddy
CATS: No, appears much too interested

SHILOH's ADOPTION FEE: $250
This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet, board and rehab the dogs we save. On average we spend over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, your adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot, bordatella shot, deworming, monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and microchip. In many cases it also includes surgery and various types of vet treatment for standard issues such as hot spots, ear infections and so o
