About RUBY | |
|
RUBY is a gorgeous, petite and incredibly sweet German Shepherd! She’s a stunning red-and-black girl who will turn heads when you walk down the street. She has only been in a foster home for a short time but gets along with the cat, a small daschund, a medium mix dog, and two large dogs. Just a few days after she arrived, she even won over the grumpy alpha male GSD: he sat above her and glowered at her, and she just looked up and kissed him! He said “Harrump!” and tried to ignore her, but it was clear she had won his heart.
Ruby was slated to die at a city pound because they were full, and Ruby was so scared that they assessed her as being very “independent” – so “independent” that they implied she could be a difficult dog and was therefore top of the list to die.
The truth? Ruby is a loving, affectionate, calm and very sweet girl who just wants to be loved! Her “independence” was just her fear and anxiety at being in a noisy, crowded, smelly shelter.
Ruby will win your heart with her sweet, unassuming demeanor and loving nature.
DOGS: yes. Does very well with small, medium and large dogs in her foster home
CATS: yes. Does fine with the cat in her foster home.
KIDS: unknown. Would need to be tested. Believe she would do well.
IDEAL HOME: a home with time to love on her, exercise her, and show her the TLC she so deserves! She would love to have a buddy, too ;-)
