More Information:
Sadly, Lady came into rescue when her owner died and she didn't have any place to go. She and her sibling King were free on the farm for some weeks before it became necessary to move them permanently, and we made room for them despite being overly full.

She was shy with most kennel workers in boarding, but she walked right into the foster house, made herself at home and started playing with the other dogs. She is good with other dogs of almost all sizes, and ignores the cats. She is also good with kids (the foster has older kids).

ADOPTION FEE: $300
This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet and board the dogs we save. On average we spend over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level, even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, the adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot. bordatella shot, monthly preventives, deworming and microchip.
