About Pauline | |
|
We couldn't help but love this silly picture of ms. Pauline, flirting with the camera man!
PAULINE is a gorgeous classic-looking German Shepherd girl who loves people of all ages. She will shamelessly beg for belly rubs and attention. At just a year or so old, she's still VERY much a puppy, too - and has all the puppy enthusiasm to prove i! She's on the small side so is perfect for a family who doesn't want a really large dog.
She's a bundle of energy and loves to play, play, play!!!! She's also a talker - she'll let you know if she's unhappy or lonely or wants to play! Pauline needs a very active family with a 6' privacy fenced yard - and preferably a doggie buddy to play with!!! Her family absolutely must spend time with her every single day to train and exercise her, or she'll be bored and get herself into mischief!
This sweet, pretty girl was a stray in a small town and was taken to a vet's office. They couldn't find the owner and the vet called us to say they'd have to euthanize her soon. We worked closely with the vet and brought Pauline into our program.
Pauline is urrently in boarding and doesn't like it. She wants to be out and playing, enjoying life, exercising. She hates being crated and will require an extra strong kennel along with training and exercise to teach her that the crate is actually her "den".
OTHER DOGS: she seems to be fine with other dogs, though very vocal which can sometimes scare the humans a little. We've had her at a large adoption event and she did well. She is a high energy, untrained puppy and as such tends to be over the top. She needs training on appropriate play -- so as not to be too much for the other dogs.
CATS: unknown, would have to be tested
KIDS: did fine with children of varying ages at the large adoption event
SUMMARY: Pauline is a beautiful, small-ish, classic German Shepherd girl who is still VERY much an energetic, untrained puppy! She will need immediate training to begin, so she learns how not to overwhelm both people and other animals with her sheer enthusiasm. Once trained, this girl is going to be a true diamond!!!!!
HER IDEAL FAMILY: an active family with a securely fenced yard and hopefully a doggie buddy. Her family must be willing to deal with her enthusiasm and joy for life - committed to training her starting immediately in order to have a fantastic lifetime companion. Her family will also need to exercise good canine leaderhship.
IF you're looking for a lovely, sweet and ball-of-fire companion,
PAULINE just may be your girl!
