More Information:
Bo is really Bonita and what a sweetheart of a girl!! Her owner could no longer care for her and Bo was eventually abandoned at a kennel. The kennel notified authorities of an abandoned dog and then called us to see if we could help.
Bo is one of the best tempered dogs ever! She was severely depressed at first but gradually came out of it. She really blossomed when she got a Kong --- she carries her peanut butter filled Kong toy with her everywhere!
Bo is severely overweight (we suspect was fed human food, not all of it good). This creates some trouble walking, but with a good diet and good nutrition, combined with exercise, she should recover well. She may have the beginnings of some hip problems, but it's impossible to tell until she gets muscle strength back with exercise, and sheds about 30 lbs.
BO'S ADOPTION FEE: $300
This fee covers only part of the vet and boarding expenses for the dogs we save. It includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella vaccinations, deworming and microchip.
