Meet Greta!
Greta is a beautiful purebred black german shepherd who recently turned 5, she is registered in the United States and the UK. She is from working line breeding and has a keen intelligence and focus.
Sweet Greta is looking for a new home because her dominant alpha nature has been causing problems with her pack for two years. Greta lives with three other large dogs and she will not tolerate any challenge from her canine siblings anymore. Her family loves her very much and has made the difficult choice to rehome Greta for safety.
Greta is a serious german shepherd who will need a strong leader and a job to do, but her dog aggression seems limited to her pack interactions. For several years Greta has excelled at obedience classes and rally (agility would be fun too if it wasn't for that darn teeter-tooter she doesn't trust!), she would really love to continue her sports in a new home. Greta attends these classes and competes at events and has never shown any anger towards the other dogs, she is a model citizen out on the town.
Greta is protective of her house and home and a typical GSD guardian. She likes children of all ages, though she has never lived with any. We are not sure if she would tolerate small dogs in her home but may do well with just one companion male dog who is content to let her be alpha. Greta's history with cats is nothing but playful, she does like to play with them and has taken a claw or two to the nose without reacting aggressively.
