More Information:
A working lines German Shepherd trained in detection and other jobs. Needs a job to do and a very experienced owner!!
SURGE is a gorgeous and very special German Shepherd. Bought as a puppy by an individual who wanted to become a dog trainer, Surge went through one of the best training schools in the midwest with his owner. He was trained in various types of detection work and did some initial bite training. Unfortunately, the owner's life fell apart after returning home with Surge -- and Surge has been leaderless, activity-less, and at sea for the last year.
While the family loved him, they were unable to care for a working dog like Surge. They could not provide him the job he was bred and trained to do, and accidentally created a situation where Surge was becoming more and more frustrated. His life has been in chaos and his owners called us for help.
Surge is a beautiful young boy with lots of training (will need to be refreshed). He MUST have a home where he will:
1. live with his family and be part of the family
2. have a job to do - such as SAR (Search and Rescue), detection work or the like.
If you're looking for a working dog from excellent lines, have a job for the dog to do, and will make Surge part of your family and live with him, SURGE may be your boy!
Surge’s adoption fee is $300.00.
This fee covers a portion of the vet and boarding expenses for the dogs we save. It includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella vaccinations, deworming and microchip.
