More Information:
Adorable little TEENA is going to be a stunning adult one day. She's a classically beautiful German Shepherd, her ears are fully up, she has a lovely GSD stance, and she barks ferociously when people come to the door. Typical GSD puppy!
She also loves to play and run and romp. She loves other dogs and plays nicely with them. Cats are unknown right now but we believe she would be easily trained. She ADORES kids and follows them everywhere! She would love to have some kids and doggie buddies of her very own.
However, little TEENA had a rough start in life. She was abused in some way -- we're guessing at minimum that she was kicked and/or beaten. She's healing nicely physically. But even better is that this sweet, scared little one is gaining confidence with every passing day.
Her foster home is working on typical things like gentling down her play. She's almost housetrained and has only had one accident in the house so far. She's learning to be crate trained and is well behaved in the house. She already knows what "no" means and is very smart so we believe will be easily trained. She's very social with other animals once introduced properly and is not at all hyper like some puppies are.
Beyond the typical puppy training, the only item that requires attention is the typical GSD protectionism, which we think has been exaggerated by her rough start. She can be overly protective of the humans she bonds with, and her foster home is currently working with her to interrupt those overly-protective reactions and redirect her. This needs to be part of the ongoing training her new family will do.
Teena’s adoption fee is $350.00.
This fee covers a portion of the vet and boarding expenses for the dogs we save. It includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella vaccinations, deworming and microchip.
