ADOPT ME!
Location: Omaha NE
Age: approx. 8-9 yrs
Temperament: very mellow, calm, super nice girl
LADY O came from a high kill Missouri pound. She was about to be killed solely because she was scared! She would curl up in the back of her kennel, where she wanted to stay, and the pound staff were afraid to get her out. This is so often the case, that shelter staff are uninformed about behavior that is common under stress, when animals are terrorized. Fortunately, she ended up with us!
LADY O is a true lady. She's calm, gentle and mellow. Can you see her smile in her closeup? She's SO happy to be out of that pound that smelled of terror and death. She knows she's safe and is grateful. She will make someone an absolutely delightful companion for a lot of years yet.
She's in great health, very well behaved, gets along with everybody (humans and dogs), and just wants a wonderful place to call home for the rest of her life. If you want a calm and beautiful dog who will be loyal and love you forever, LADY O is your girl.
A WORD ABOUT OUR SENIOR DOGS
If you can find a place in your heart for a senior, you're in for the best few years of your life! Shepherds are one of the most intelligent, loyal and loving breeds around -- and seniors are the wise men of the breed. It takes a very special person to foster or adopt a senior dog -- a selfless family that's willing to share their lives with this golden girl for the next five, six or more years. Someone who's willing to spoil her rotten in her retirement years. That accepts the fact she won't chew up your stuff, tear through the house, insist on going running or endlessly chase the ball. No, she'll sit at your feet and love you and protect you. She'll keep her eye out for anything that's not quite right in your household. She'll be the mature, calm, loyal guardian and companion most people long for. And she'll give you a love so deep you'll never regret the shorter number of years with your family. Each day will be precious.
LADY O's ADOPTION FEE: $200. This covers all her vetting, including spay, all shots, heartworm test, deworming and microchip.
