FOSTER ME OR ADOPT ME!
Location: Kansas City area
Age: 11 Years Old
Temperament: Sweet older gentleman
Ceasar is a sweet older AKC Registered gentleman who more than deserves the best "forever" home to spend his Golden Years.
Ceasar is an owner surrender due to no fault on his part. His is yet another tragic tale in a terrible economy.
From his temporary foster: He seems to be in pretty good shape for his age and is not very gray. He looks a little arthritic, slow going down to the floor but fairly quick getting up. Knows the sit and down commands, is decent on the leash and is very good in the car. He also likes to talk to you. He burps out loud and moans and groans like an old man. LOL
Ceasar is good with other dogs and even tolerates cats. His former home had children and he did fantastic with them.
Ceasar had a bath today and had no problems with that either. He will go have his nails done tomorrow and possibly a teeth cleaning as well.
Ceasar has not yet been neutered. It will be up to the vet to say whether he is too old to go under the anesthetic or not. He will be neutered before his adoption is final or have an official pardon from the vet.
A WORD ABOUT OUR SENIOR GERMAN SHEPHERDS
If you can find a place in your heart for a senior, you're in for the best few years of your life! German shepherds are one of the most intelligent, loyal and loving breeds around -- and seniors are the wise men of the German Shepherd breed. It takes a very special person to foster or adopt a senior dog. It takes a selfless family that's willing to share their lives with this golden boy for the next few years. That's willing to spoil him rotten in his retirement years. That accepts the fact he won't romp in a field with you or endlessly chase the ball. No, he'll sit at your feet and love you and protect you. He'll keep his eye out for anything that's not quite right in your household. He'll be the mature, calm, loyal guardian and companion most people long for. And he'll give you a love so deep you'll never regret the shortened years with your family. Each day will be precious.
Ceasar's adoption fee is $300. For an explanation of our fees and policies, please visit us at www.mogsrescue.com.
