Abbey's owners are no longer able to keep her. This is what they have to say about Abbey:
Abbey is a great dog. She would be perfect for a couple that can spend more time with her than we can. She would also do well with a family that has a dog. She has a great disposition and very loving. She loves to play ball and take walks.
Probably two years ago, our neighbors (unknown to us) had been tormenting her while she was outside. Now, although those guys are gone, she still has issues with going in the backyard, unless one of us is with her. Things would have turned our a lot differently had we been aware of the abuse.
I think a different venue would help her not be so scared to be out. I also think another dog would make her 'act' like a dog again!
I have her AKC papers and certified pedigree. I had her in one obedience class when she was a pup. She is not allowed loose in the house; she is in her kennel in the kitchen. She is perfectly content there. Hard to believe, I know. She would need a fenced yard; she has always had one. I think she would run if she wasn't confined.
