ADOPT ME!
LOCATION: Topeka, KS
AGE: approx. 2-3 yrs.
Temperament: Sweet girl!
Hope came into our rescue from a horrendous high kill pound. She immediately lived up to her name by overcoming THE worst case of upper respiratory infection the vet (and we) had ever seen. She was a mess for well over three weeks, and was also completely emaciated. This poor girl had been starving for a long time when she landed in the pound. In fact she was so starved and so sick that the pound's own vet refused to spay her until she got better and put on some weight!
HOPE had some challenges adjusting in the first few weeks in foster care, but that seems to all be behind her now. She still doesn't get along well with her senior foster brother, but we believe that's a personality clash more than anything. She is doing fine with her foster sister and the foster's 6 yr old daughter.
HOPE is now spayed, in wonderful health and ready for a new home and family. She's a sweet doll who does fine with children above toddler age The photos are from Hope's first bath at her foster home -- and her foster mom reported that she has never bathed a calmer dog!
