SASHA originally joined MOGS from a local shelter in 2017. She was adopted out quickly, and originally did very well with her new family. Due to some acutely developing behavior, Sasha is now back with MOGS to work on improving her confidence and training.
TEMPERAMENT
** More info on Sasha's temperament coming soon **
OTHER ANIMALSSasha was placed in an adoptive home with another dog, who she originally got along with. Due to acute stressors, Sasha has developed some re-directed reactivity, and will need to be fully evaluated prior to being placed in a home with another dog. She cannot be placed in a home with cats or other small animals.
CHILDREN
Sasha would do best in a home with either no children, or only children ages 16 and above, who are experienced in being around shy/anxious dogs, as well as dogs that have protective behaviors.
MEDICAL
Sasha is up-to-date on her rabies and all vaccines. She is spayed, and also has a microchip.
Sasha's ideal family - Sasha needs an experienced canine leader who can help her understand who to look to for safety, as well as managing her protective / anxious behaviors. Once Sasha feels safe, she is quite a loving and gentle girl!
If you're looking for a gorgeous, young, trainable German Shepherd
who will love you forever,
Sasha may be your ideal family member!
SASHA'S ADOPTION FEE: $300 This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet, board and rehab the dogs we save. On average we spend
over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, your adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot, bordatella shot, deworming, monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and microchip. In many cases it also includes surgery and various types of vet treatment for standard issues such as hot spots, ear infections and so on.
